New Year & Wild Roots

Posted on | Uncategorized

Counting down to midnight – and the first bloom of spring! While Michigan is tucked under a blanket of snow, we’re dreaming of a vibrant, pollinator-friendly 2026. This year, focus on planting more Michigan natives like Wild Geranium (Geranium maculatum), Butterfly Weed (Asclepias tuberosa), and Eastern Redbud (Cercis canadensis).

Why go native?

  • Support local monarchs and bees
  • Save water (they’re built for our weather!)
  • Deep roots for a healthier Michigan landscape

What native beauty are you adding to your yard this year?
