Our Journey Continues
Every thriving chapter starts somewhere, and ours began with a simple idea: bring together people who care about native plants and the ecosystems they support. After launching with initial success in Newaygo County, we recognized an opportunity to expand our reach in West Michigan, so our seedling chapter was restructured to include Oceana and Muskegon Counties.
What Does Seedling Status Mean?
Seedlings are young Wild Ones chapters in new cities and new states. Seedlings are working toward full chapter status and need to grow their membership!
As a Seedling Chapter, we’re building momentum through:
- Year-round educational programs and opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals
- Growing membership in all involved counties
- Community connections with local environmental groups, governmental organizations, and community leaders
- Local initiatives that maintain and restore our region’s unique ecology
